We stumbled across Ponder Cottage in May 2023. We thought we would stay a week. We ended up staying three months 😊. Su and Mark were excellent hosts who are very knowledgable about the area and island as they have lived there on and off for over two decades. They helped us navigate and dive into local culture as if we had been there for years ourselves. The villa staff (Ketut and Kadek) were incredibly kind and welcoming to us too.
We rented the back half of the villa for our stay which had 3 en suite bedrooms and an inter-leading lounge. Comfortable beds and bedrooms that were cleaned everyday (except on ceremony days), good aircon and nice bathrooms. The wifi was just strong enough for work calls, which is good for Lembongan. The living/kitchen/pool area was perfect for our family and also plenty of space if we had friends/guests staying too.

A mini haven of peace: charming little hotel, only 3 bedrooms, with a shaded swimming pool and a very pleasant outdoor lounge/kitchen, run by a super nice Australian couple. The cleanliness is exemplary, the room is cleaned every day. All this 100 meters from a beautiful beach with lots of great restaurants, local or not, around. The place is lovely and so convenient! Accommodations are private and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and lounging area and pool. My girlfriend and I stayed at Ponder Cottage for over two weeks. Mark and Sue are super lovely people, the staff was great too and the accommodation is very clean, calm, everything works the way it should - plus the pool area and outdoor kitchen area are just gorgeous! Myself and my girlfriend stayed at Ponder cottage for over 1 month and absolutely loved it. The location is amazing. 1 minute walk to the  beach where shipwrecks and razors surf breaks are located and it is very close to a variety of restaurants.

The space is big and has an amazing outdoor living area with a full kitchen and large swimming pool with sunbeds and umbrellas.

The staff were always friendly and very attentive. The house was kept clean and tidy at all times.

Mark and Sue are lovely people. Great communication and very helpful.

This place is amazing! Can’t rate it highly enough. Beautiful villa with an incredible outdoor pool and living area. Down the “gang” and you are straight onto the beach with restaurants to die for whether you like Warongs or fancy food! Lovely staff that attend to the pool and clean.
